| CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. Many consider CrossFit the “Sport of Fitness.” It is not a specialized physical regimen; rather, it is an attempt to optimize your physical proficiency in each of the ten recognized fitness categories: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy.
CrossFit transcends age levels and abilities. Individuals’ physical needs may vary by degree, but not by variety. Most workouts are succinct, but always intense. We scale load and intensity, but do not alter workouts.
Our specialty is not specializing. Our guidelines and workouts promote muscle confusion; hence, you should never plateau. CrossFit is practical, well-designed fitness that guarantees remarkable results.
A wonderful feature of our gym includes a great trainer to member ratio. CrossFit certifies our trainers. They instruct basic form, correct technique and encourage intensity.
As with any physical fitness routines, nutrition should be forefront in your life. I encourage you to research a nutrition plan best for your body and lifestyle. No matter now many hours you put in at the gym, it is impossible to outwork a poor diet.
I encourage you to keep an index card with your name, dates of workouts, times and loads. An index box is kept at the gym for handy reference. This will help mark your progress and triumphs. Also, you can join www.beyondthewhiteboard.com.
I recognize that life can be hectic; and circumstances in your own life can change rapidly. Understandably, at some point you may need to cancel your membership with CrossFit Smyrna.
